About Tamegroute Clay Works
Tamegroute's green glaze — made from a copper-and-mineral formula the village's potters have guarded for centuries — is what makes Omar Bouzidi's pottery instantly recognizable. Every piece is thrown on a kick wheel from local clay, sun-dried, then fired twice in wood-burning kilns just outside the village. The glaze's color and sheen vary slightly piece to piece, a mark of the wood-fire process rather than a flaw.
Reviews
The glaze color is even richer in person, deep bottle green with real depth. Only use it for serving as noted, not stovetop.
